Right. Without banging on too much, here's how it is.

My name -- not my pseudonym, unlike a particular author who would remain nameless if the circumstances were different -- is Christopher Pike. I reside in Leiston, in the English county of Suffolk.


Although I put all sorts of things here, I specifically try to maintain a consistent archive of Linux and Open Source news, as well as anti-Microsoft news.

Instead of using Microsoft's Windows operating system I use Linux (Fedora), and will attempt to get anyone using Linux and Open Source solutions, rather than Microsoft's vile software.

I have experience in the building and administration of secure Linux servers, as well shell scripting (Bash).

I design and develop Websites, including e-commerce and custom sites using server-side scripting and database integration; the technology behind these sites is based on the Apache Web server running on the Linux platform, using the PHP scripting language and MySQL database. I also program with C/C++ and QT, and am fond of a nice cigar and a glass of sherry.

This site was created using a text editor -- except for the graphics, obviously. All development has been achieved via the use of free/Open Source software, a moderate lack of sanity, and copious amounts of alcohol.
